One Night in Chulia Street

本来今天的主题会是姐妹淘逛街乐,然而晚上去了这家店过后,改变了主意。
因为,这一餐,让每次对槟城食物诸多挑剔,口头禅是“bei ki”,自称有皇帝舌的维特感动差点滴了泪。。。哈哈。。是不是很想知道这是什么样的一道食肴还有店名呢?
这家店,就坐落在背包客来槟城落脚地的Chulia Street. 店名是Ecco Café.
感谢Cutie Jellies 的震撼介绍。因为她的朋友介绍她说这间的pasta是very very nice!
是VERY x 2 哦。本来是打算下星期和她一起去吃午餐的。
但今晚心血来潮,难得维特有兴致要去town area宵夜。就“坚持”迫不及待要他来这间。
在很多次介绍失败之下,连Lxxxs café都被他弹得一文不值的情况下, 这一次真的需要很大的坚持与冒险。因为这个人对事物的挑剔真的是和我那班公司的朋友有过之而无不及。
不过呢,我对这一餐的评价没有他那么高。因为看过了[胡杏儿向意大利出发专辑]的我对pasta的要求比他的来得更原始。哈哈!
不过以这样简单的食材在这个商业地方来说,这个pasta确实是成功的。
用料是home made pasta, Turkey ham, olive, herbs with tomato sauce.
相比一般用料丰富spaghetti marinara,和旨在赚钱的商业化餐厅,这一家厨师的诚意和用心,以自制的面条,还有多元化层次感的味觉,让人吃出了感动。

看看四周的环境,怀旧的音乐,仿佛时光倒流,来到了异度空间,没有称号来的比报纸所说的“古迹美食”来得更贴切了。乔治市,加油!
我想下个星期,我不会在午餐时后来光临。因为只有放松的心情,才可以真正吸收到这家店的文化。 But definitely I will back here again with Cutie Jellies & the gang as i wish to know their comments towards the food here & i havent try all the food here...

真的希望有一天,我可以到意大利的农庄,享用最天然的人间美味。

    fen fen, i cant really comment bout the food there as the food i tried out is so few n limited. Perhaps next time i can put in more my own thoughts on this restaurant as this post was mainly vic's opinions.
